便利店里的服务员忙说,“Never mind, I will do it later.”

I'm back!

Hello everybody! I'm back!
It has been almost half a year that I've missed my blog here. Well, only one word could explain why - busy!

Quite a number of things has been changed for the past 6 months. Blogger has now migrated it's login to Google's single login account, making us easier to email and do blogging at the same time. And now Google also provide us the facility to host our video clips. One of the attractive features is the ability to post our video clips directly to our blog. Nevertheless, all these changes have been quite transparent to the readers.

Just yesterday morning on my way to work, I heard this news from a radio station: now every one could become the eyes of the police. There is a running contest that give away "attractive" cash prize to those who manage to capture traffic offenders red-handed. Summon must be issued and the picture must be clear before you have the chance to win one of the 3 prizes everyday.

Well, I'm not totally disagree with this campaign. The use of photographs from the public to determine whether one had offended any traffic rule is quite arguable. For instance, I may have snapped a driver who has stopped his car in the yellow box. But the driver could easily claim that he was just passing by the yellow box, instead of stopping there.

To me, a video clip will be more appropriate as the running frames of the clip tells the whole story. That is why, if you notice, I would prefer to use video clips in my blogs to reveal those "sucking" acts of the traffic offenders in Malaysia.

WJR1406 Red Rusa Parked @ Jln Pahang Yellow Line During Rush Hour

This clip was taken @ around 9:15am along Jalan Pahang, KL. The red Rusa either parked or waiting right next to the "No Waiting" road sign and yellow line, endangers motorists and disrupt traffic flow. These vehicles worsen the morning rush hour traffic congestion and should be heavily penalized.

Broken plates

I have shown to you a series of “Want to see how Malaysian drives?”. This time, I would like to show you how Malaysian could still leave their vehicles running on the road with broken registration plates and yet escape from been caught by the traffic police.

I would also like to share the related experience with you. If you were to drive your car in these condition (with missing registration numbers or no number plate at all), you will be stopped and summoned by the enforcement officer right on the first day, not here in Malaysia, but in Singapore!

And one of the funny incidence happened here is: a Kia Spectra without a number plate was running side-by-side with a police car. It then challenged the police and overtake the police car. Something amazing happened: the driver could just escape without been noticed by the police! Or probably the police did not even bother to stop the car.

Pirate One or Pirated One?

This is the converstation I overheard between a customer and a sales assistant at a video shop in one of the shopping center in town.

Customer: I would like to have the "Pirate of the Carribean 1" DVD, where could I get it?
SA: Please follow me here.
SA: Aiya, the DVD finish already.
Customer: Oh! Never mind. By the way, how much do you sell for a copy?
SA: It's 69.90 ringgit.
Customer: Wah! So expensive. How about VCD version?
SA: Got Pirate 1 VCD or not? (The Sales Assistant turned around and asked her colleague.)

Customer: No no, I don't want pirate one. I'm just asking for the VCD, I think should be cheaper than DVD.
SA: Just now you said you want Pirate 1. We don't have Pirate 2. Pirate 2 is not out yet.
Customer: Yeah, I want Pirate of the Carribean 1. The first one.
SA: Here the Pirate 1 VCD.
Customer: How much?
SA: 19.90
Customer: Wah! How come pirate one also so expensive?

So, which one is pirate one or pirated one??
